We are a well established SACCO situated in Pokot County seeking to invite a dynamic, result oriented, qualified, experienced and self driven applicants to fill the following position:

Marketing and Public Relation Officer
Role
    * Reports to the Chief Executive Officer
    * To provide exempted leadership and guidance on all aspects of day to day marketing operations and strategies.

Duties
    * Shall be responsible for customer care
    * Shall market the Society's products to the members and potential members
    * Shall attend to the members' problems as directed by the Chief Executive Officer
    * Shall represent the society in any forum as directed by the Chief Executive Officer or Board of Directors.
    * Shall educate the members on all society's applicable policies, new products and functions of the society's activities.
    * Shall be responsible for the recruitment of new members
    * Shall attend Education Committee meetings in order to advice and give the necessary report to members on quarterly basis in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer.
    * Shall prepare a periodic report to the Chief Executive Officer on the performance of the society in relation to his department.
    * Shall advice through the Chief Executive Officer on ways and means of improving the Society's services to the members and the community.
    * Shall ensure quick delivery of services to the members
    * Be creative, innovative, energetic and willing to put in long hours of work with very minimal or no supervision at all times.
    * Ensure effective communication between the staff, Board of Directors and members.
    * Promote, foster and protect members' interests in relation to the core society functions.
    * Counsel, motivate and create a good working environment.
    * Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications
    * University Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (marketing option).
    * Diploma in Marketing or equivalent certification will be an added advantage
    * Must demonstrate knowledge of several computer packages.
    * Must demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and professional competence in marketing management.
    * Minimum of 5 years experience preferably in commercial sectors such as SACCOs and banks including one (1) year direct Supervisory experience.
    * Must be aged between 25 and 45 years.
