Impact Research and Development Organization is a national NGO based in Kisumu. Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities.
We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following positions in Nyanza Province by September, 2010.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
    * Provide technical support in the planning, designing and implementation of a M&E system that will enable the organization track accomplishment of activities and their impact on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment.

Minimum Requirements:

    * Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields is required. Masters in Biostatistics is an added advantage.
    * At least 3 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in a busy organization.
    * Good writing and analytical skills. Proof of writing is required.
    * Training in and experience with quantitative data analysis software specifically SPSS; knowledge of Ms Access, SPSS, SAS, STATA or EPI INFO and qualitative data analysis software a must.
    * Ability to multi-task and attention to details; and possess excellent communication skills.
    * Good understanding of Public Health issues particularly HIV/AIDS.

Information, Education and Communications Officer

    * Coordinate the production of IEC materials, publication of organization’s, Magazines, produce documentaries, films, radio programs, facilitate, promotional, publicity and informational needs of the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

    * Must have a degree in Mass Communication, Creative Arts or related field.
    * Over 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
    * Must possess excellent writing and communication skills. Proof of previous writing is required.
    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and publication software packages.

Project Coordinators – 2 Positions    * To oversee the implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention related activities within designated districts in the province.

Minimum Requirements:

    * Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or related field. Masters degree in Public Health or Project Management an added advantage.
    * Good understanding of public health issues particularly HIV/AIDS.
    * 3 years’ experience coordinating a large HIV/AIDS prevention programs especially among the MARPs an added advantage.
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proof of professional writing is required.
    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
