Versatel Systems Freelance Sales Executives Job Vacancy
Founded in 2007, Versatel Systems Ltd is a specialist in IT Industry. Our agency is proactively anticipating and meeting the challenges of the revolutionary changes currently occurring and that we foresee in the Industry
This position in turn guarantees you an IT Service partner committed to your success. As your IT Service provider company, we fully commit that you will be kept informed of the latest industry and technology developments, and benefit from those that can improve services and drive down costs
Commission: 20%
At Versatel Systems, we want to drive sales and boost revenues, beginning immediately. We are setting ourselves aggressive sales targets and we need all the help we can get to hit them. As a result we are searching for talented, experienced, part-time sales executives, with a strong background in appropriate industry sectors, to work with us to realize those targets.
There is no salary, but there is uncapped sales commission of 20% on every sale you make. Looking at our historical data, a single sale would be expected to yield at the very minimum a KES 10,000 commission and anything up to KES 500,000 or more.
The role is home-working and hours are totally flexible. You work as much or as little as you want to. We also plan to make this role permanent and full time, with a KES 15,000 – KES 120,000 base salary plus commissions, some time during 2011, so if you do well as a freelancer and fancy something more solid, you could be in line for the permanent position.
One more thing – because of the many CVs we expect to receive, interviewing can be tricky, we will go through the CVs and call people a general company training and pricing.
About you:
You’re an experienced sales executive and you’ve got at least 4 years in IT and/or consultancy and/or agency sales under your belt. You’re self-sufficient and self-motivating, but you’re not working a full time job right now. Perhaps you’re taking time out, perhaps on maternity, perhaps semi-retired, perhaps simply a victim of the economic down-turn. Whatever your circumstances, this role will offer you the opportunity to earn money on your own terms and put in the hours you can.
Technically you can be anywhere in the region, and we will consider regional applications, though we are most interested in boosting our sales in the Kenya. If you come recommended by somebody we know and trust already, all the better.
Responsibilities:
We believe the business is out there and you will be responsible, along with other sales executives, for bringing it in.
Once you’ve made the sale, it’s the existing team’s job to take up the project management and delivery – this is a 100% sales role and don’t worry about over-selling. We have an excellent group of partners and contractors who can pick up any overspill work, should you sell more than we can handle internally, and we’ll always keep a handle on the project management no matter who is cutting the code.
We don’t expect you to work all hours (though obviously we won’t object if you want to!) – we’re much more concerned about the quality of individual, their understanding of our business and who they can target than how many hours they clock up.
We want sales, but not at the expense of our excellent reputation. As such, for this role there will be no specific sales targets to hit, but we will expect weekly reports of sales activity and you will need to enter everything you do in our CRM system.
Finally, by joining our team you will also help us revise and refine our sales strategy, since you will undoubtedly have better ideas than we do. We will be totally open to your suggestion and guidance on this.
