The Kenya Institute of Management was created in 1954 as a local chapter of the British Institute of Management currently the Chartered Institute of Management of London and Wales. After independence, it converted to the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) with the late Mr. Thomas Joseph Mboya as its first African president. Since inception, KIM has maintained its status as a professional membership organization whose mandate is to promote excellence and integrity in the practice of management and the protection of management profession. 

Our client First Machineries Limited deals in pumps, generators and selected construction equipment.

The company wishes to strengthen the sales function by recruiting several sales
engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities
    * Carry out promotional activities of the company’s products and services
    * Create opportunities for sales of the products and services
    * Identify and develop a client base to grow sales volumes
    * Ensure quality customer service as a key to the sales process
    * Monitor and report market activities in terms of pricing, service, and promotional activities
    * Identify potential business opportunities and report them
    * Handle customer issues in line with good customer care policy
    * Handle management, colleagues and other staff as fellow customers
    * Achieve targets

The ideal candidate may have the following

    * Bachelors degree or Higher Diploma in a branch of Engineering
    * Good communication skills
    * Good understanding of product and expected service
    * Prepared to follow up and stay alert to long term projects
    * Computer and driving skills are necessary tools but not mandatory
    * Minimum of 1-2 years sales experience
