Agri- Business Marketing Officers Job (2 Positions)
Our Client, a Regional Market Development Trust, implementing Market Development Programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa is seeking to recruit result oriented dynamic and highly talented professionals in the above exciting and challenging position.
The successful candidates will coordinate and lead agribusiness mass marketing and participate in activities intended to identify and obtain the participation of private sector bulk buyers and other informal buyers.
Other responsibilities include;
* Studying the value chain of agricultural products and developing marketing strategies for the products.
* Guiding farmers on what to produce based on identified market demand.
* Identifying and repairing broken market linkages
* Finding markets for locally produced agricultural products and when necessary create collection and marketing points
* Follow and promote market and business development around certain Agricultural commodities through proposing investment opportunities and strengthening linkages within the value chain.
Qualifications and experience:
o Degree in Agricultural Business Management/ Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Economic Development/ Rural Development or related discipline
o Previous experience as an agribusiness marketing professional preferred
o Experience in the field of market-led, agricultural development
o Fluent in English & Swahili
o Experience in Agricultural value chain development
o Demonstrated expertise required in identifying end-market opportunities and growing enterprises.
o Appreciation of diverse marketing dynamics including negotiating with informal traders in informal markets.
o At least 2-3 years experience in agri-business development work
