Brief Description
To Provide reliable, secure and readily available information systems (which include databases, operating systems, application systems and the supporting infrastructure) in consultation with systems vendors where necessary in order to ensure consistent and reliable IS Services.
Detailed Description
* Implement and monitor system controls to ensure information integrity
* Configure and monitor the performance of specific applications to ensure they operate to agreed performance levels
* Maintain systems availability to meet customer SLA
* Resolve all incidences and problems in consultation with the Systems Support Analyst and vendors
* Implement relevant technical system upgrades, patches and new installations and update the configuration database.
* Implement tools to enhance system performance, integrity and administration.
* Define and ensure integrity of the backups and restore processes in accordance with the disaster recovery policy.
* Provide technical support for application implementation projects
* Document known errors and resolution in the knowledge base
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
* University Graduate in IT or related field
* Three years experience in system administration
* Good Oracle Database administration knowledge and skills
* Good Unix/Linux administration knowledge and skills and/or Microsoft Certified System Engineer
* Networking skills
* Basic hardware knowledge
