IBM is a global leader in IT solutions and wishes to fill the following posts in their Kenya offices

Business Controls Professional

Likely to be a qualified accountant with two or more years internal audit or controls experience.

Job entails establishing and maintaining IBM's framework of internal controls including scorecards, management reviews and SOX assertion, optimising sharing of tools and methodologies to mitigate risk, provide internal education and consulting on the required process-related control mechanisms, and lead independent process reviews. Reports to IBM Assistant Controller.

Business Development Executive
This requires an experienced technical sales and marketing professional who will take responsibility for collaborative development of IBM's business pipeline across East Africa.

You will need at least five years solid experience in a similar IT sales field targeting, screening and analysing business opportunities, building extensive client management relationships, partnering with other IBM groups and external teams up the point of formal engagement.

You will need to be a qualified IT professional.
The post reports to the Business Development Manager.

Sales Specialist - Power and Storage
This post takes responsibility for developing brand specific solutions to business and industry clients.

Requires strong understanding of user business environments and needs and the ability to tailor solutions and integrate brand capabilities in a manner that is valued by the client and is superior to competition.

In turn, this demands an understanding of the IBM product offer, methods and models, and the ability to navigate IBM to identify and acquire the necessary resources.

The successful candidate will have at least five years experience in a similar sales environment as well as solid ability in formulating winning presentations and proposals.

Business Partner Software Sales Manager
At least four years experience in managing, recruiting and growing software business and pipeline through business partners.

Needs a thorough understanding of IBM's strategies and offerings for the assigned brand as well as an awareness of IBM's methods and models in generating customer solutions and is able to articulate their value to the client.

Also requires a strong understanding of user business environments and needs and the ability to tailor solutions and integrate brand capabilities.

IT Specialist

This post requires up to three years relevant experience in AIX and storage system support as well as the ability to maintain strong customer relationships and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include problem analysis, evaluation and resolution of customer problems, use of problem management systems, guidance to customer on use of software, and the use of IBM technical resources and tools.

Software environments include operating systems, programming languages, database management systems and development tools.

General IT Specialist
This role specialises in performance problem determination and problem source identification in software environments.

Responsibilities include problem analysis, evaluation and resolution of customer problems, use of problem management systems, guidance to customer on use of software, and the use of IBM technical resources and tools.

Software environments include operating systems, programming languages, database management systems and development tools.

You should have at least two years experience in implementation and technical administration on AIX 5.3 as well as in AIX software and storage system support.
