Our client, a mid-sized financial institution with a strong focus on exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with the view to becoming the Premier Pan African Relationship Bank offering one stop financial solutions is looking to recruit a Recruitment Officer who will be responsible for facilitating the talent acquisition process from the identification of Talent through to Placement, Induction and Confirmation of employees.
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager the key accountabilities for this role include:
Establish a talent database comprising of people outside the company who have the
skills and competency to hold positions within the company to reduce turnaround time
in recruitment when positions arise.
Review all applications received (solicited and unsolicited) and recommend how the
talent can best be utilized by the organization.
Work with line managers to recruit the best talent to fill vacancies in the department
Support recruiting departments to develop interview questionnaires and develop and
apply appropriate interview assessment tools to evaluate both behavioral and
technical competencies for respective vacancies.
Interview candidates and prepare comprehensive interview reports on each candidate’s
suitability to the vacancy, covering both behavioral and technical competencies.
Coordinate the staff Induction process and Confirmation process.
Facilitate the Graduate recruitment process including organizing ‘milk-rounds’ and
attending Universities Fairs.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:
A university graduate preferably in the Human Resources discipline or with Higher
National Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Must have 2 years work experience in human resources field in a busy commercial
environment, of which at least 6 months accumulated experience in recruitment.
Certification and/or experience in conducting competency based interviews.
Experience in Psychometric Assessment Tools is an added advantage.
Well-developed communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to
network and establish effective working relationships across the company.
Report writing skills are a fundamental requirement.
Proven ability in planning and organizing to deliver outcomes within stipulated time
frames.
Excellent knowledge and hands on working experience in operating Microsoft Office
suite- Ms Word, Ms Excel PowerPoint & Ms Outlook is a must. Working knowledge
of a human resource information system (HRIS) would be an advantage.
Good knowledge and hands on experience in manipulating data from various
databases.
Fluency in both oral and written English and Kiswahili.
The salary for this position starts at KShs 60,000 gross per month, plus benefits,
negotiable based on experience and demonstrable contribution.
