Project Coordinator – Somalia/Somaliland, based in Hargeisa (Somaliland) with frequent travel in the region.

We work with civil society, governments and international organisations to encourage and support effective policies and practices through advocacy, research and policy development, and through supporting the development of local capacities and structures.

The main focus of this role is to support implementation of Saferworld’s Somali Non-State Actors programme, a process that Saferworld has been supporting for the past six years.

The process aims to strengthen the participation of Somali Non-State Actors in national and international decision-making on peace, security and development through supporting the development and capacity-building of NSA platforms in the three Somali regions.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of five years’ experience of working on peace-building or development including work with civil society organizations.
