Kenyan Sales/Marketing Jobs Vacancy: Sales Representatives. Salary + Commission
Our client, a local publishing company and a market leader in school based revision materials is looking to hire a Sales Representatives for the western and eastern regions of Kenya. The incumbents will be reporting to
the Sales and Production Manager. The main responsibility for the role is to increase sales volume and maximize market share.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main responsibilities in this role include:
* Managing the Retail Sales in his/her region.
* Delivery of set volumes and revenue targets for the region.
* Preparation of weekly and monthly demand forecasts and sales plan for the respective regions.
* Providing regular market intelligence on volume and value share, competitor activities and overall demand patterns in the region.
* Recommending the appointment of distributors and/or engagement of anyother direct customers from the region.
* Analysing sales trends and variance’s and advising the management on appropriate strategies and actions to enable the company meet its objectives.
* Establishing and ensuring maintenance of good relations with stakeholders in the education sector of their respective regions.
* Maintaining a clean debtor ledger.
* Documenting, reporting and discussing execution of plans, sales and margin analysis and overall productivity with the Sales Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
The position is a very hands-on role, requiring a highly motivated, independent, strong, and assertive Sales Executive who has sound knowledge of the local education system and previous experience of sales to schools and education agents – he/she will hit the ground running.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated by job satisfaction and the desire to achieve outstanding results. The candidate should be willing to travel extensively and be willing to work within the
region allocated.
The successful candidate will be having a diploma in sales and marketing and a background of education material sales. He/she will have good working knowledge of all commercial sales policies (cash, credit, instalments) and demonstrate knowledge of sales processes, including the ability to accurately meet customers’ needs.
The successful candidate will be highly numerate, computer literate, have excellent communication and reporting.
Salary will be on commission basis with a future bias on salary + commission pending results.
