Quality Manager at AAR Kenya Limited
Summary:
AAR has entered into collaboration with Pharm Access Foundation and is seeking to recruit the services of a Quality Manager on a renewable contract of one year.
WORK STATION: ELDORET
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Assist Clinics in the project in the implementation of a quality system to ensure safe health care provision.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
* Development of SOP’s, clinical guidelines, proper waste management and infection prevention control. * Develop an annual upgrading plan for each provider. * Facilitation of quality upgrading of the clinics to achieve quality and ensure availability of capacity. * Annual training plan Development and implementation of processes and procedures for stock management. * Customer service * Annual clinic audits
DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Assist the clinics to develop Sop’s, clinical guidelines, proper waste management and infection prevention control * Use the Medical due diligence report prepared by Pharm Access Foundation to develop an annual upgrading plan for each provider in close collaboration with the providers. * Get pro-forma invoices on all needed infrastructural and asset upgrading needs and agree with PAF on an annual budget requirements * Assist clinics with the implementation of the up-grade program and monitor progress * Facilitate quality upgrading by actively working with the clinics. * Design tailor made solutions for the requirements of the clinics to ensure quality and capacity is available * Design in collaboration with the providers an annual training plan that will include medical, paramedical and administrative capacity building. * Regular training of providers on the treatment protocols and drug formularies based on cases of non conformance of the treatment
protocols and drug formularies. * Train service providers on stock management ensuring systems are in place to avoid running out of supplies. * Contracting of 3rd parties to carry out training subject to approval by Pharm Acess foundation. * Help providers to develop and implement processes and procedures to manage stock outs when they occur. * In collaboration with the health Services co-ordinator monitor capacity levels at each provider to ensure they are not overwhelmed * Perform mapping exercises to look for and make recommendations to Pharm Access Foundation for additional providers as the volumes build up. * Assist providers address service complaints raised by the Health Services Co-ordinator * Perform annual clinics audits to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and good clinical practice.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
* Sop’s, clinical guidelines and proper waste management and infection prevention control in place. * Agreed annual budgets in place * Quality upgrades of clinics * Monthly visits to clinics and reports * Adherence to treatment guidelines, formulary and referral guidelines by the Clinics * Monthly CME’s to PPO’s * Annual clinic audits * Resolved clinic complaints * Regular training of providers on treatment protocols and drug formularies. * Monthly reports as determined by management
Requirements:
LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Diploma in Clinical medicine * Minimum 5 years work experience * ICT competency OTHER COMPETENCIES: * Leadership skills * Communication skills * Self starter, requiring minimal supervision
