Our client is the global leader in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety and infection prevention products and services, who deliver comprehensive programs and services to food service, food and beverage processing, healthcare, and hospitality markets in more than 160 countries. Their Kenya office is looking to fill the position of Warehouse Manager.

Reporting to the East Africa Logistics and Planning Manager, the responsibilities in this role will include:
* Controlling and directing receipt and distribution of product and equipment to agreed company standards.
* Maximizing the use of available space in line with agreed inventory levels in order to avoid the need for external warehousing.
* Representing the company in all internal and external inspections (e.g. safety and health).
* Setting up, implementing and controlling all relevant budgets in the area of responsibility.
* Building up and maintaining clear communication and co-operation with all internal (e.g. material management, sales divisions, HR) and external interfaces.
* Leading employees in the area of responsibility in agreement with Logistics & Planning Manager (individual development, motivation, assessment and feedback).
* Ensuring reasonable staffing in the area of responsibility approved by Logistics & Planning Manager and HR.
The knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position include:

* Graduate level with focus in Chemistry, Logistics, Transportation, or any similar discipline.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a multi-country distribution network in a high-skill environment preferably in the chemical industry or equivalent.
* Experience with carrier / warehousing, quality control and manufacturing contracts.
* Computer based analysis skills
* Communication and Reporting skills.
* Proven track record of identifying and implementing initiatives to improve distribution performance, including quality, service levels and costs.

Remuneration: the package offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
