Procurement Manager Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our client is a medium sized civil engineering firm with interests in road and building construction. Over the last three years their business has expanded with the commitment by the Kenya government in infrastructure.
In line with this, they are seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager
The Position:
The Procurement Manager will procure and provide the organization with a steady flow of good works and services in a cost effective and timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Processing of procurement Contracts
* Coordinating the disposal of obsolete goods functions of the organization
* Administer the stock control and inventory management function
* Development, implementation and enforcement of procurement regulations, policies and procedures.
* Participating as a member of the tendering committee and attends site meeting to understand site requirements;
* Ensures all transaction are within budget;
* Suppliers evaluation and development of list of approved suppliers for various procurement needs;
* Negotiates with suppliers on price matters; and
* Negotiates credit terms for continuation of production;
The Ideal Candidate should have;
* Degree in Business Administration
* Diploma in Procurement
* A minimum of 3 years experience in related field
* Good interpersonal skills,
* excellent negotiation skills,
* Market focused /knowledgeable in business trends
