The international humanitarian organization Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (France) is seeking for its HIV/TB/SGBV programme an: Experienced Psychologist
The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the counselling team and activities in our Mathare programme.
Requirements:
* Qualified clinical psychologist: postgraduate level.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in clinical psychology.
* Extensive experience in HIV/TB programmes (e.g. 2 years)
* Experience in dealing with survivors of sexual and gender based violence.
* Experience with children is essential in particular with traumatised children.
* Experience dealing with mentally challenged patients, refugees, a vulnerable population
* Strong management skills e.g. monitoring and evaluation of human resources and programme activities
* Experience in providing on the job training to staff.
* Knowledge of the psychosocial needs of people residing in an urban slum setting.
* Able to take initiative is a must.
* Ability to work both independently and to work in a multidisciplinary team.
* Organized, dynamic, ability to lead and motivate a team, and a sense of diplomacy.
* Fluent level of both spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
* Good computer skills.
* Flexibility and strong commitment to the humanitarian field.
* Should be a holder of the necessary statutory documents (NSSF, NHIF, PIN Number)
