Safe sex Africa-University -Student Program Interns
Safe Sex Africa is an International NGO with its Headquarters in the USA and currently running programs in Seven African countries. Safe sex Africa currently is in established in Nairobi Kenya. Safe sex Africa is seeking to recruit 12 Interns from Kenya, preferably Students from different Universities. To help it Achieve its vision of Maximum Safe and responsible Sex in Africa
Safe sex Africa specifically deals in promoting Sexual reproductive Health (SRH) in institutions of higher learning, Universities, Colleges, estates, and Villages with our main target being youths between ages 16 Years to 32 Years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing organizational grand proposals with our international experts
* Writing proposals to run different programs
* To manage all the programs in your Campuses, Coordinate with our finance offices for funding and report on all activities.
* Be accountable for all the organizational resources, including instruments, Finances, publications e .t c
* Organizing and executing Sexual reproductive health(SRH) education trainings
* Organizing thematic events,
* Coordinating SRH behavior change training groups and forming Behavior Change Communication Groups
* Supervising and mentoring peer to make responsible and informed choices as regards their sexuality and HIV/AIDS, then submitting reports for M&E purposes
* Ready and willing to learn
* No experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
i. Must be a University student preferably specializing in English, Linguistics, Social sciences, Community Development but Above all MUST be a professional in writing English.
ii. Must be willing and ready to work in any of our seven countries in Africa, after completion of Undergraduate studies
iii. Must have passion in promoting safe sex in African Communities
iv. Must be very creative, honest,
v.Must be thinking outside the Box,
vi. Computer Literate
vii.Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills
viii. Must possess strong leadership, mentoring and people development skills
ix.Advanced communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
x.Adept in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
xi. Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships
xii.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Power point and word
