Action Against Hunger USA is part of the ACF International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water and sanitation and health programs.
We are urgently seeking suitably qualified Kenyan national to fill the position of Human Resources Manager based in Nairobi
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Be the mission referral person for any legal labor issues, therefore it’s compulsory to be familiar with the Kenya Employment and AAH staff regulations & policies,
* Ensure proper implementation of ACFIN HR policies at mission level,
* Develop, propose and follow-up the policies on: recruitment, salary scales, contracts, training, evaluation,
* Follow-up on staff regulations (making sure that the regulations follow the national laws, are coherent and logical, are clear to all staff members and their managers, are always respected),
* Develop and follow-up of recruitment procedures for the organization,
* Assist AdminFinCo in expatriates’ management and administrative follow up: induction schedule, work permit, registration, visa, flights & hotels bookings, timesheets and filing,
* Assist AdminFinCo in national staff’s management and administrative follow up: recruitment, induction, salary scale, follow up labour contracts issues (ending/renewal, promotion, disciplinary action, delocalization/resettlement, jobdesc…), developing and follow-up of the organization’s training policies, arranging meetings of Coordination team with staff or staff representative,
* Other duties and responsibilities: Follow-up on rental contracts for premises, focal contact personnel for social partners (CFC, SACCO, NSSF, lawyer for HR issues… Provide effective guidance and support to field staff and their supervisors regarding general employee administration matters, performance issues, and employee relations
* Responsible of the mission payroll system
Qualifications & Skills Required:
* BA in relevant field (preferably HR / administration / law related)
* A minimum of 3 years field experience working with an NGO
* Demonstrated experience in Human Resource management
* Excellent computer skills (word/excel) and experience using and updating databases
* Fluent in both written and spoken English
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
