Our client is offering an exciting opportunity a dynamic and business minded individual with previous experience in the arena of treated timber and related products. The successful candidate will lead projects and manage all aspects of the day to day operations and relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

• Commercial responsibilities to grow the client base and participate in tenders;
• Management of all resources and assets;
• Management of human capital;
• Community engagement and CSR involvement;
• Quality and risk management.

Requirements
• Qualification in Wood Technology, Forestry or any applicable science;
• Management or leadership qualification would be a distinct advantage;
• At least 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a similar facility;
• Demonstrated experience in managing a function and resources independently;
• Proven experience financial planning skills & financial management for a facility;
• Demonstrated project management skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders in English (written & spoken), Kiswahili an advantage;
• Proven ability to engage communities in support of a project;
• An understanding of the statutory and government requirements both at country and district level;
• Working knowledge of logistics and procurement;
• Strong focus on quality and quality management practices;
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and all related packages to produce management reports;
• Proven ability to manipulate data to prepare tender and pricing documents;
• Ability to negotiate and mitigate situations with all stakeholders;
• Valid driving license.
