SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and reporting all costs and materials concerned with all projects from initial calculations to final figures. Daily site visits and reports on project status and material usage. Preparation of tender and contract documents, including BOQ and BOM.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
* University degree in quantity surveying, construction or civil engineering.
* 5 years direct work experience in a quantity surveying capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
* Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
* Planning, time management, prioritization, multi-tasking and documentation skills are a pre-requisite.
* Technically competent with various software programs, such as word, excel, power point, outlook and in using the internet.

* Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
* environment is essential.
* Precise and accurate documentation skills.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
* Customer service skills an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
* undertaking costs analysis sites and projects
* preparing and analyzing costings for tenders;
* Liaising with project managers, architects, contractors etc.
* allocating work to subcontractors;
* providing advice on contractual claims;
* analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
* valuing completed work and arranging payments;
* maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
* understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
