RBA Human Resource Management Trainee Job in Kenya
The Retirement Benefit Authority (RBA) is a State Corporation set up to regulate and supervise the retirement benefit sector in Kenya.
RBA is established through the Retirement Benefit Act (No. 3 of 1997)
In an effort to enhance the operations of the existing team as well as increase its effectiveness in service delivery, RBA is seeking to recruit high caliber result-oriented persons with exceptional communication and IT skills who will work flexibly in a small but highly professional team and respond imaginatively to varied and demanding range of tasks.

Management Trainee - Human Resource
Department: Human Capital & Administration
Location: Nairobi
Section: HR/ADMIN
Job Grade: RBA 7
Reports to: Human Resources Officer
Comments: This is a Transition position to a substantive management position in the Authority
Job Role: Provide logistical assistance to the HR function
Special Requirements
* Must be a self starter
* Knowledge of the emerging legal and other policy or legislative issues that affect the
* Must have computer navigation skills
Key Result Areas:
Leave Management
* To ensure all departments submit annual leave data timely
* To update leave record for all staff and generate status reports
* Analyse attendance and leave records and generate reports on trends for management action
Office Administration
* General office management of office, correspondences and ensure proper filing of documents
* To track and advice Management on administrative matters of staff and their benefits in line with their contract provisions
* To provide all necessary data on staff that may be needed to aid decision making
* To liaise with the Human Resources Officer and ensure that all files have relevant correspondence: appointment letters, confirmation, transfer, retirement, acceptance letters etc
* To ensure that employees applying for loans and other benefits are within guidelines
Training & Development
* Liaise with the Human Resources officer in the coordination and preparation of Training activities in the organization
* Coordinate in the Training reviews for staff and generation of Training reports
Employee Relations
* Liaise with the HR officer in execution of Employee relations activities in the organization and in the preparation of the relevant reports.
Education
* Min: Degree in Human Resources or , Social Sciences)
Professional Qualifications
* Ideal: Professional Diploma in HR will be an added advantage.
Experience
* Min: 1 year
Age: 23 to 25 years
NB: Must have graduated within the last two years i.e. 2009-2010
