Group Operations Director
Ref: 01/6/2010

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for all Business Support functions, namely Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Property & Procurement, Warehousing and Distribution.
 
Specific responsibilities include:
    * Lead strategic long-term initiatives for operational excellence;
    * Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of Business Support Services;
    * Coordinate workflow between support and front facing business retail operations;
    * Ensure deployment of appropriate operational systems, processes and policies;
    * Streamline and review requisite management reporting, for productivity;
    * Determine areas needing cost reduction and optimization;
    * Direct and coordinate procurement of non trade merchandise, and shipping, storage  and distribution of trade merchandise ;
    * Direct and coordinate property refurbishment to international franchisor standards;
    * Ensure a deep talent pipeline and an employee value proposition that engages;
    * Champion legal compliance and best practice Human Resource standards across all countries of operation;
    * Any other duties as delegated.

The successful candidate is likely to have:
    * A minimum of 10 years working experience majorly in Finance, the last 5 of which should be at a senior managerial level overseeing human resource, information technology among other administrative support roles
    * Clear strategic thinker with experience in formulating business strategies and plans and reporting at Board level;
    * Demonstrated leadership and vision managing across different staff groups, projects and initiatives;
    * Knowledge and experience in creating organizational effectiveness, managing change and implementing best practices;
    * Demonstrable experience in financial planning and analysis;
    * Good working knowledge of Regional markets and legislation;
    * Exemplify executive gravitas, leadership and solid negotiation skills;
    * Possess a Masters degree in Business Administration and be a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant;
