UNDP Kenya Programme Analyst for HIV/AIDS Job Vacancy

UNDP Kenya would like to recruit a Programme Analyst (National Professional Officer Category, Grade NOB - ICS9) for HIV/AIDS.
Background
UNDP HIV/AIDS work focuses on policy, strategies, plans and processes. The emphasis is on mainstreaming HIV/AIDS in both the public and private sectors strategies and plans as well as support in the protection of the human rights of those infected and affected.
In this regard, the programme officer will facilitate network operations by liaising with and maintaining a close working relationship with different Government departments, private sector and civil society on behalf of UNDP to ensure a smooth linkage of the HIV/AIDS programmes particularly facilitates inter-sectoral networking and coordination of inter-sectoral commitments.
Provides quality project monitoring, evaluations and reviews and facilitate feedback on progress and performance of particularly the Joint UN HIV/AIDS programme and projects supported by UNDP-Kenya.
Position Information
The Programme Analyst will work under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery Unit. He/she is responsible for the formulation, implementation and management of UNDP's HIV/AIDS programme outcomes, outputs and activities as stipulated in the United Nations Assistance Framework (UNDAF) and Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP).
The Programme Analyst will examine the impact of HIV/AIDS on the political, social and economic situation, trends; identify issues and support the formulation, management and evaluation of strategies and plans to address these risks. Provide policy advice services and technical support to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Masters, degree in development economics, social science, public health or related fields.
* At least 2 years' relevant work experience at national or international levels in development work which should include programme management and knowledge in HIV/AIDS Programme management and national development programmmes. Experience with UN and/or nongovernmental organizations would be an asset.
* Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web based management systems
Language Requirements
* Fluency in English and Swahili is a requirement.
