Applications are invited for the position of Community Healthy Mainstreaming Facilitator at Baraka Agricultural College.
Job summary
The Community Healthy Mainstreaming Officer will support Community and HIV/AIDS units by promoting community curative and preventive health activities in liaison with the college Programmes, College Social Workers, Health Referral Centers to ensure quality health to the target communities in the areas of operations and facilitating training among adult learners in relevant areas.
Qualifications
* Hold at least a Higher Diploma/ Degree; preferably in Social Science with a bias to Sociology and Social Work or in any other related discipline
* Demonstrated community involvement related to Public Health and advocacy, is highly desirable.
* Desire to see effective facilitation to those affected by poor health.
* Ensure a safe and a healthy environment around communities of actions
Other competencies
* Basic HIV/AIDS counseling knowledge and skills * Good communication skills and facilitation skills
* Ability to conduct needs assessment on information and documentation
* Organizational skills and networking skills
* Must be innovative and result oriented
* Ability to work under minimum supervision
