Job description:
The Consultant (Financial Analyst) will be responsible for assisting MicroSave clients with:
* Business planning arid financial modelling,
* Financial Management and analysis,
* Costing/Pricing of Financial Services,
* Planning/Implementing product Pilot-Tests and Rollouts,
* Process re-engineering, and
* Policies and Procedures.
The Consultant (Financial Analyst) will be based in Nairobi but with extensive travel in the region.
Applicants are expected to have experience in business planning, financial modeling, financial management and costing/budgeting.
Experience: Interested persons should have:
* At least 5 years professional experience in banking and/or microfinance,
* Supervisory/managerial capacity,
* Delivery of technical assistance programmes,
* Experience in working in East/Southern Africa, and
* Previous consulting experience is an advantage.
Skills: This position requires a wide range of skills and experience:
* Strong cost accounting skills,
* Business planning including financial modeling and budgeting,
* Strong field orientation and proven inter personal skills,
* Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and
* English language speaking and writing ability and a professional demeanor.
Education:
* Masters level degree (or higher) in Banking / Business Administration /Accounting.
* Part or full CPA is an advantage.
Language:
* Excellent spoken and written English and Kiswahili, additional working language an advantage but not mandatory.
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
