Mastermind Tobacco (K) Limited is one of the leading tobacco growers and manufacturers of fast moving range of cigarettes brands in the region. The company is also involved in the export of both tobacco and tobacco products to world markets.

We wish to enhance our effectiveness in all these areas so that the company objectives are met fully. We are currently seeking to recruit experienced, highly motivated and self-driven professionals to fill the following positions.

Production Manager

The Job
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling manufacturing processes and activities.

Key Responsibilities
* Planning and executing production schedules to meet the agreed output;
* Controlling the use of production materials to avoid wastage;
* Monitoring and controlling the quality of products being produced;
* Ensuring high standard of hygiene and adherence to health and safety guidelines in the production area;
* Ensuring continuous improvement of process and quality of the products;
* Supervising and motivating a team of high caliber production personnel;
* Timely preparation and submission of daily, weekly and monthly production reports.

Requirements

* Must be an engineering or science graduate;
* At least seven years working experience in a manufacturing environment three of which should be at a management level;
* Good practical and technical skills;
* Good understanding of environmental health and safety issues and legislation.Transport Manager
The Job

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all activities in the company’s transport unit.

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, managing and controlling the transport budget and overall costs of vehicle operations;
* Maintaining and ensuring adherence to operational procedures in order to achieve operational excellence;
* Oversee the overall scheduling and maintenance of company fleet;
* Planning and coordinating the procurement of equipment and motor vehicle spare parts;
* Ensuring adherence to Environment, Health and Safety issues in transport department;
* Developing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators in order to facilitate transparent evaluation of the operation;

Requirements
* Must posses an engineering degree or equivalent from a recognized institution;
* At least ten (10) years working experience in a transport/logistics environment at a senior level;
* Must have a good track record in business and people management;
* Good knowledge of transport legislation and insurance matters.

Deputy Human Resource Manager
The Job
You will be responsible for implementing human resource policies, systems and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting in developing and maintaining sound human resource strategies, policies, and systems;
* Implementing human resources plans and programmes;
* Facilitating recruitment, induction, performance management and employee development activities;
* Overseeing establishment and maintenance of employee information (both manual and electronic) including personnel files and other related records;
* Coordinating human resources administrative processes;
* Preparing periodic human resources management reports.

Requirements

* University degree in humanities, masters degree will be a definite advantage;
* Post graduate diploma in HRM from a recognized institution;
* At least seven (7) years progressive experience in a human resources function preferably in a large manufacturing organization three (3) of which must be at a senior level;
* Be computer literate;
* Sound knowledge of employment laws.

Senior Maintenance Engineers (1 Mechanical & 1 Electrical)
The Job

You will be involved in planning and executing engineering projects, repair programmes and
maintenance activities for facilities, plants and equipments.

Key Responsibilities
* Scheduling planned and unplanned work;
* Diagnosing faults and breakdowns and overseeing time critical repairs;
* Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed;
* Carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
* Directing, instructing and supervising maintenance technicians and fitters;
* Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.

Requirements
* An engineering degree majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
* At least four years engineering experience in a busy manufacturing environment;
* Good practical and technical skills;
* Good problem-solving skills;
