General Manager – East Africa – Risk Management Solutions
Our client is a leading service provider in Risk Management across all sectors of the economy. The purpose of the business is to provide assurance for corporate against such contemporary risks as service branding through employee’s level of inconsistency in adhering to due diligence processes; commodity pilferage and loss of intellectual
property.
The company achieves this by deploying compliance staff as well as
establishing supporting control systems that ensure that customer perception is
consistent with the target service delivery philosophy and that losses associated with
pilferage and thefts are taken care on. With clientele largely in retail outlets as well as
services sector, the company has gained significant presence in the region through the
cots benefit outcomes for its service.
To manage this expansion, the company seeks to recruit a marketing oriented General
Manager – East Africa to steer the establishment of new partnerships, collaborations
and clientele as well as carrying out systematic cost negotiations with clients to arrive at
the value of the professional service.
This position will be responsible for offering strategic and operational leadership aimed at steering business development,continuous improvement and market leadership in terms of quality, profitability and
internal compliance systems.
The position will also be responsible for rolling out the relevant expansion projects aimed at exploring opportunities in the industry as well as modeling the services delivery to suit specific industry situations.
Responsibilities
Developing strategies and goals for the company service together with the specific budgets and action plans
Plan and schedule all operations in the service as well as designing collaborative working atmosphere
Design and review the existing operational processes for the services across the industries of service in collaboration with the departmental heads towards efficiency improvement and adaptivity of the specifics towards the existing circumstances
Ensure that the client requirements and internal capacities are matched and the costs
are controlled for enhanced capacities
Steer such review as choice of service providers and partners based on systematic
assessment of present and potential performances
Ensure that the internal services processes and plans are in line with the prevailing
orders and that provision is made for contingency
Develop a strategy for and drive service delivery process improvements, lead and
monitor company performance through direct involvement, team development,
coaching, establishment of goals and good countermeasure practices
Assure coordination of company functions, responsibilities, budgetary performance,
manpower utilization, skills, equipment, and facilities.
Ensure that factory staff are well recruited, trained, guided, supervised and
motivated to deliver results.
Ensure that there is proper planning and determination manpower requirements
based on an understanding of goals and objectives.
Continuously gather information on emerging trends in the market and leads efforts
to re engineer the product offerings to match the emerging requirements.
To be considered for this position one must have;
•University degree in Commerce – Marketing option
•At least 10 years experience in senior management in Business Development or
Commercial Management in a service oriented sector especially in telecommunications services or professional services.
• broad knowledge of service oriented set ups such as telecommunication or
commodity distribution and retail set ups or in commercial management
• Conversant with customer care and service compliance best practice and resources
planning
• Strong leadership and communication skills including effective interpersonal,
influencing, negotiation skills, analytical skills and ability to write reports
• Advanced knowledge of the East African market – especially the retail and
distribution industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, email and internet
•Experience in applying wholesome management including finance, administration
and human resources
•Ability to plan and execute business development through sectoral networking,
making corporate presentations and benchmarking success relationships with
existing clients
•The ability to take challenge in carrying out business development for new service of
products concepts in the regional market
•Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
