TITLE: Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) INTERN
TEAM/PROGRAMME: EASTERN AND CENTRAL AFRICA REGIONAL OFFICE LOCATION: NAIROBI, KENYA
ASSINGMENT PERIOD: 17 January 2011 – 15 April 2011 POST TYPE: INTERNSHIP
ROLE PURPOSE: To support the follow-up, monitoring and streamlining of PM&E processes including grants support.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Regional Programme Consultant, with strong interaction with Programme Managers and Advisors

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Objective 1: By April 2011 ongoing programme quality support has been provided to ensure the programme monitoring and evaluation are effective

Activities and deliverables:

1.1 Counter checking information on Total Reach sections and Advocacy Measurement tool from countries and in general, support the annual report writing as needed in January 2010

1.2 Organising regional programme and M&E meetings/ workshops

1.3 Development and follow up of regional calendar

Objective 2: By April 2011, SCS contributed to the strengthening of the local partners within the regional and country programmes.

Activities and deliverables:

2.1 In collaboration with the regional programme managers and consultant, follow- up of report submission from partners as per agreements.

2.2 Provide logistical support for workshops and meetings where required

Objective 3 : By April 2011, ECAF RO’s contribution to country offices in region has strengthened

Activities and deliverables:

1. Research and document relevant data/ information required for the effective support to SC in South Sudan
2. Support the development and documentation of grants management guidelines to Country Offices.

3.3 Update ECAF Regional Office’s programme database

3.4 Update the consultancy data base
