Description:
Summary: He/She will carry out installation work to the right quality standards, safely and within the set time frames and ensure that the need for post commissioning repairs and adjustments is minimized.

Responsibilities
    * Oversee the off loading of all equipment and materials required at an installation site.
    * Verify against the packing list to ensure everything has been delivered and that there are no damages.
    * Report any damages to the supervisor.
    * Ensure safe custody of the lift material.
    * Distribute the materials to the appropriate locations on the site (the floors).
    * Facilitates consequent installation work
    * Installation of new lifts and modernizing old ones; this includes: building cars, counterweights, plumbing, roping, guide setting, machine room fitting, wiring and meshing.
    * Ensure that any casuals assigned to you work effectively and safely.

Qualifications
    * Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    * Technical Certificate Part 1
    * Ability to work under very strict deadlines.
    * Proven ability to supervise
    * At least 2 years experience in either construction industry or mechanical installations.
    * Experience in the Elevator/Escalator industry will be an added advantage
    * Proven Project Management skills.
    * Ability to Interpret Mechanical and electrical Installation drawing
    * Problem solving skills
